Dinglesea

Whilst working in Suffolk in the late 1960's I read a book, which I think was called "A Breeze over Dinglesea". Allegedly the book tells the tale of the only bridge providing access to Dinglesea (Southwold) is swept away in a storm and the town decides to declare independence from the County Council.
Can anyone confirm the title and author. I would very much like to get a copy of the book.
